1. Apathy stems from the Lord not being Lord
   1. For you say, I am rich, I have prospered, and I need nothing (17)
   2. Not realizing that you are wretched, pitiable, poor, blind, and naked (17)
2. God does not leave you alone
   1. I counsel you to buy from me gold refined by fire, so that you may be rich (18)
   2. White garments so that you may clothe yourself and the shame of your nakedness may not be seen (18)
   3. Salve to anoint your eyes, so that you may see (18)
3. Be zealous and repent
   1. Those whom I love, I reprove and discipline (19)
   2. We need works to come naturally from loving the Lord
